Well, I'm not really sure how the nominations system works: once you nominate a story (note: can you nominate stories by other authors and by yourself?) how do you choose the winner? I'm new to this thing, so I apologize if it was explained before. :3
Nominations - it'd be in very poor taste for a person to nominate his/her own story. Nominations are meant to be focused on acknowledging fellow MJFiction authors and fostering a sense of community; to nominate oneself would be the antithesis of that.
The winner - members vote on those who were nominated
