Apparently the obsession started when the daughter of that noble man told her about the encounter she had with the charming prince. And I have to add, the prince didn't lose any time at catching his prey! lmao. Makes me wonder... how his behaviour towards the ladies will be like in the next chapters :)
This chapter was very useful to the story, because it deepened the relationship between the sisters and the emotions they feel towards certain subjects. Ser for now looks like she doesn't care, but she's obviously intrigued as well by Manefer.
We'll see what will happen!
