I just wanted to tell you that I keep coming back to this story. I haven't left a review, because one does not simply comment while they're binge reading. xD
Chris was ever so caring and patient and I imagined him to be extremely handsome, too. I need to find me a straight version of Chris. :D Michael def. needed to sort himself out, but in the end he did get to a point where the healing could begin. With Chris. I even liked Kevin in a weird sort of way. Or rather, felt sorry for him. Jackie was ... quite something, but the story wouldn't have been the same without her.
The adult scenes were really hot! Especially because there was real intimacy in them and there was an actual substance to the story other than just the sex scenes.

Kids - then why not just have him not have kids? I mean, it's not canon per se. Kids are easy and hard to write....but they're who a parents who is also a recovering addict really wants to see during their recovery (once looking more put together). The kids are who they post pics of on their walls, stare at endlessly on their phones, and call whenever possible. Especially the single parents.
This chapter is both smutty and romantic. Well done.

You called me out. I'm guilty of THE most common 'impossible in the real world' error in fanfics: The Disappearing Kid Trope
Frankly, I did it this way because children are hard for me to write, not helpful to the progression of the story, and also I felt a little uncomfortable with trying to write children in a setting where there is blatant drug use, past sexual truama, and the occassional lemo scene.
So yes. Guilty. lol
But that's why.

He's such an idiot to be letting Kevin in. I want to slap him. Why is Jackie allowing this, if she knows Kevin's deal? Also, where is Casey? I'm surprised Michael even knows how to work all of that technology...shouldn't that be an employee's job?

Actually from what I researched he was fascinated by computers. Not necessarily very skillful at using them but fascinated by them. He also was constantly losing his cell phone and was fascinated by gadgets. So i took a fictional jump and made him fairly tech savvy when he wants to be. :-D

IDK, IMO Jackie has changed. Her speech changed. Her mannerisms changed. Her behavior changed. She went from being ditsy, excessively flirtatious, and missing Michael's blatant annoyance with her at times, to observant, conniving, and matter-of-fact. Even from 1st POV, that's a huge shift.
I'm curious what Kevin's interaction with Carlos was like.
