Wow. Good for Julie that Michael was right there looking out for her, and that before she left, George was on the ground, where he deserved to be, too. Served George right - having that old mentality of what a woman is supposed to be (meaning in the kitchen and always obeying her husband, and nothing else). However, what George doesn't realize or understand is that women have come a long way in history - since Bible times, in fact.

Even Jesus Himself remarked to his friend Lazarus's sister Martha in the New Testament from the Bible that her sibling Mary had chosen one thing, and that was to listen to Him.

Anyway, keep up your super-neat, very creative and beautifully phenomenal writing! :)

Wow. That took a lot of courage for her to do what she did and head out of there - and find a better life, hopefully. :)

I can also see her thinking to herself this quote from the 1994 film Forrest Gump (which is a really good movie, too): “Dear God, make me a bird, so I can fly far, far, far away from here.”
